Use RC Construction Toys And Build Your Remote Control Race Track

Once you determine how big you'll build your remote control racetrack, and measure out the area, start building your project with your RC construction toys.

The hardest part about building the track is finding the space for it to occupy.

For a simple, and quickly built, track you don't need fancy walls around the edge. In fact, if you're only building the track for you and the kids to race on you want to start RCing fast. And don't you only care about playing with the vehicles, as opposed to how the playing area looks?

The quicker you get to operate the RCs, the quicker you start having fun.

Start with the excavators and front loaders.

Clear and level the area for your track. If you plan to race monster trucks and off-road buggies you don't want too level a track. For race cars you'll need a smooth surface because of the low ground clearance of the racing models.

Load the dirt you clear away into the dump trucks, and haul it into the places where you want your jumping hills. You won't build jumps if you're only running race cars. But give yourself more RC versatility by building the ramps with level track where you can drive around those ramps. Then you can race monster trucks and buggies over the jumps, and low-slung race cars over the flat track.

Use the excavators and front loaders to build the mounds, and position the ramps, you'll jump over.

You have many options for marking your remote control track borders. Dead tree limbs work well if you have plenty lying around. Garden hose makes an easily seen track wall with its bright green or yellow color. PVC pipe makes great sides. Use white pipe for around the track, and black pipe for the pit areas.

Haul your materials in with the semi flatbed trucks, offload them with the forklifts, and position them with the cranes, excavators, and front loaders.

What kind of track will you build?

Consider an oval to race both open wheel and stock racing cars as well as pickup, monster, and semi trucks.

Build a drag strip, and see how fast your RCs flash down the track.

Construct a figure eight track and pull out those old, worn out radio control vehicles for a demolition derby.

Design a remote control S-shaped obstacle course for running all your on- and off-road models.

The only things that limit the creation of your design are how much space you have - and your imagination.

And you get to extend your remote control fun by building your project with RC construction toys.
